All manuscripts submitted to Educational and Social Science Research must be relevant to the Focus and Scope of the journal and comply with the Author Guidelines. Submissions are expected to demonstrate clear scientific merit, conceptual contribution, or empirical novelty appropriate to the fields of education and social sciences.

Manuscripts must be written in clear and academic English. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to ensure linguistic accuracy and clarity prior to submission through professional editing services or reliable language checking tools. Submitted manuscripts must be original, have not been published previously, and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, the manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the Editor in Chief and Section Editors. This prequalification stage assesses the manuscript’s relevance to the journal scope, basic methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and overall academic quality. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage without external review.

Peer Review Process

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subjected to a double blind peer review process. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent peer reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript topic, appointed by the Editor in Chief or Section Editors.

Reviewers are asked to provide constructive, critical, and scholarly evaluations of the manuscript, including recommendations regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection. The standard review period is approximately three weeks. In cases where reviewers’ recommendations are substantially divergent, a third reviewer may be invited to provide an additional assessment.

Revision Process

Manuscripts requiring revision will be returned to the authors through the journal’s Online Journal System. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ and editors’ comments and to provide a clear response to each point raised.

The revision process may involve the following stages:

  1. Revision based on editorial screening comments within two weeks.

  2. Revision based on peer reviewers’ comments within two to four weeks.

  3. Additional revision based on Section Editors’ evaluation within two weeks, if necessary.

  4. Final minor revision based on editorial meeting or final editorial assessment within one week, if required.

Manuscripts that exceed the revision deadlines without prior approval may be withdrawn from the review process. Authors may request an extension by contacting the Editor in Chief before the deadline expires.

Final Decision and Publication

The final decision regarding manuscript acceptance is made by the Editor in Chief or the designated Handling Editor, taking into account reviewers’ recommendations and editorial judgment. While peer reviewers’ evaluations are critical to the process, acceptance decisions are not based solely on reviewers’ recommendations.

Accepted manuscripts are forwarded to the technical editing stage for copyediting, layout, and proofreading. The scheduling of articles for publication is determined by the Editor in Chief, considering the acceptance date, thematic coherence of issues, and editorial planning priorities. Authors will be formally notified of the publication decision and issue assignment.

The duration from initial submission to final acceptance may vary depending on the quality of the manuscript and the time required for review and revision.
